By CAR:

From Brooklyn or Lower Manhattan – Option 1

Get on the FDR Drive heading north. Get off at exit 7, “20^th/23^rd Streets.” At the end of the exit ramp, turn left and proceed underneath the FDR Drive overpass. On the other side of the overpass, go left onto Avenue C. Take Avenue C (staying to the right at 18^th Street and avoiding re-entry to FDR Drive) to 10^th Street. Proceed left on 10^th Street through the Jacob Riis Houses to the FDR Drive. Park along the streets in the RIIS Houses, or at the end of 10^th Street, turn right and park along the road beside the highway. Take the 10^th Street pedestrian bridge over the FDR Drive into East River Park. Walk uptown, around the north end of the playground onto the East River walk. Go south to Field 08 (first field you come to) and enter through the fence gate on the first base side.

From Brooklyn or Lower Manhattan – Option 2

Drive to Canal Street; turn right until you reach Bowery. Turn left onto Bowery. After Houston, Bowery becomes 3^rd Avenue; take it to 10^th Street. Go right on 10^th Street (passing 2^nd, 1^st, A, B, C, and D Avenues) into the Riis Houses and follow the same instructions for parking/walking into the park as Option 1.

From Brooklyn or Lower Manhattan – Option 3

Drive to Houston Street and turn right. Take Houston to the beginning of 1^st Avenue (opposite the end of Allen Street on your right.) Turn left on 1^st Avenue uptown to 10^th Street. Go right on 10^th Street (passing 2^nd, 1^st, A, B, C, and D Avenues) into the Riis Houses and follow the same instructions for parking/walking into the park as Option 1.

From the North – Option 1

Take the FDR Drive south to exit 6, “15^th Street.” Exit turns to the right. Proceed to Avenue C. Go left on Avenue C to 10^th Street and then left through the Jacob Riis Houses to the FDR Drive. Follow the same instructions for parking/walking into the park as From Brooklyn or Lower Manhattan - Option 1.

From the North – Option 2

Drive the city streets to 23^rd Street (East or West), or 14^th Street, (East or West). Turn left on either of these streets and head toward the East River. Turn right on Avenue C. Follow the same instructions for parking/walking into the park as From Brooklyn or Lower Manhattan - Option 1.

By SUBWAY:

Take any line, uptown or downtown, that stops on 14^th Street, East or West Side. At 14^th Street, board the L train. Take the trains on the Carnasie or Brooklyn side of the platform. Exit at the First Avenue subway stop – the last exit in Manhattan. Walk from First Avenue, past Avenue D, to the edge of FDR Drive. Follow the pathway along FDR Drive down to the 10^th Street pedestrian bridge. Follow the same instructions for parking/walking into the park as From Brooklyn or Lower Manhattan - Option 1.
